Pours a deep coffee brown with a light tan head. Roast malt aroma has a strong mocha overtone and a hint of licorice. Flavor has a roast malt core and notes of coffee and chocolate plus a snip of licorice. Texture is a bit thin, and fizz is lacking - but this is still one Ninja worth taking on.

Nearly black with a thick & dense beige cap. Aroma of cocoa, roasty coffee, caramel, and grass. Sweet coffee char flavor with hints of cocoa, nice balance. Good porter flavor without extremity. Good body, light carbonation, a little sticky, a little lace.

This ninja is smoking! Well I’ll get to that later. The appearance is a dark brown to black color. The aroma contains some coffee beans, chocolate, and a bit of smokiness. The flavor leans toward the bitter side with hints of chocolate, stale coffee, and a very smokey finish. The palate is rather thin. Overall not bad but could use a little something else.

This porter pours a medium black color from the tap at the brewpub. Small to medium sized beige foamy head. The aroma is coffee, chocolate and roasted malts. A medium bodied porter. The malts are chocolate and coffee. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

it pours a dark brown colour, with a pretty big head that continued to overflow. once it settled down, it had a rich deep coffe aroma and a clean sweet malted finish.
