On draught last night at Dexter's, on the house actually since it was the last one. Beautiful beer that was incredibly popular there. Poured a cloudy orange colour with a huge white head. Tons of carbonation equals lots of froth. Aroma is wickedly hoppy right away. Incredibly fresh as well, with scent of pine, ginger and bubblegum floating through. Taste is fruity and hoppy and astringent in full dub IPA expectancy. One of the best Imps I've had in a long time.

Pours out a darker reddish amber with a light tan head that leaves behind some lacing. Smells strongly of hops and has a decently strong hops flavor to it. Not bad, overall I was pleasantly suprised.

Hazy amber colour with a small off-white head. Strong and sharp aroma of lemon-zest, green apples, caramel and mild resin. Nearly full-bodied with touches of caramel, lemon-zest, mandarin-peels, metal and green apple-skin. Long bitter finish og lemon-zest, green apples and alcohol.

Ruby brown body, fluffy white head and thick, spotty lacing. Lemon, orange, and apple fruit aromas followed by a hearty caramel scent. The hop aromas are quite soapy with a good evergreen quality. Heavy and sweet with a somewhat balanced hop to malt feeling for this style of beer. It's quite the malt bomb with a sweet candy apple and caramel flavor followed by plenty of citrus and piny hops. I detect lots of crystal malt giving a good biscuit and nutty flavor. Great beer, enjoyed a 4-pack although it is misleading by today's DIPA standards.

This thing is hopped to hell and back. It is smoking. Hazy pale copper in color with a generous but not obnoxious head with excellent lacing. It lacks a little complexity somewhere along the way that keeps it from being truly stellar.

First, thanks to mmmm///beer for sending this my way. After enjoying a bottle of Green Flash’s IIPA, this was obvously a stark contrast in the difference in brewing styles for the same type of beer.
The beer pours out a medium-dark amber color, slightly hazy with a three-finger thick creamy off-white head. The aroma has a nice floral hop aroma, some light flesh fruit (apricot came to mind), with some subtle grass notes.
The flavor was suprisingly sweet, especially just after enjoying the Green Flash. Quite the difference. Sweet was the main flavor, with hops playing second fiddle, and that’s just wrong for an IIPA. Still, it was a nice beer. Malt action abounds, with some floral and citrusy hops showing some character, but just not enough. Nice beer though. -

To me - this is uber-hopped. I tried this at a local eatery in Toronto after smelling the hops from a table away. It poured a solid dark orange but all that hits you is hops. Needless to say, the flavour is very very hoppy.

I like hoppy IPA's, this one was good, but not in the great catagory. Poured dark orange/copper(classic crystal 20-40 malt color), tan dry head that looked beautiful but faded fast and left light lacing, classic IPA hoppiness(citrus/pineapple/evergreen spicyness), though not insanely hopped, alcohol/malt ballance was very good, absolutely drinkable and will be enjoyed again.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy orangey color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of bitter and floral hoppy notes with a big malt backbone. Taste is also dominated by some floral and hoppy notes with a huge light caramel malt backbone. Medium body with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. While this beer is very good overall I would have expected more hops for the style.
