The Dortmunder-Export style of beer was developed in Westfalen, Germany, and is a classic light lager with great character. This style boasts a light golden blonde color and exhibits a moderate hop palate. The finish of our Mountain Lager is rich yet mellow. Our brewers have developed this beer as a tribute to the Appalachian Mountains where we live and play.

A beer of the month club entry for Sep/Oct 2010. A perfectly average and unspectacular lager beer. Light flavor, ok carbonation, with some alcohol. Fills the bill for an "adult" beverage, but you might just want to revert back to a more youthful "root beer" stage in life to get more of a flavor kick.

A clear, golden color with a light, white head. Minimal lacing and no lingering effects of flavor. An average beer at best. Flavor is average for this type, but there's just not much of it.

clear golden yellow color w/a moderate white foamy head. Light floral hop aroma. Very basic Lager, grainy, sweet flavor of corn & bread dough. Light, crisp clean, easy to drink. Kind of bland. Not bad, but nothing special. You can drink it, definite season brew. Thin mouthfeel w/a decent finish of bread dough.

Pours with a golden body topped by a thin head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet yet slightly bitter with a touch of sourness and a grassy hop note. Light bodied, crisp and smooth.

Water has more flavor than this beer. Absolutely no taste which indicates little malt and little hops. Forget it. Get something else and be disappointed.

Tasted a sample (2 of 8) with lunch at the Appalachian Brewing Company, Harrisburg, PA. Flat and lifeless from the tap. Nothing particularly noteworthy (or appealing) about the appearance, aroma, or taste. As for mouthfeel and aftertaste, I'd rate this beer as DOA.
