250 ml bottle, as Amager Hr. Papsø Quadruple Aged on Bourbon Barrels, from Ølbutikken, Copenhagen. Batch #97, ABV is 12%. Cloudy dark brown colour, moderate to low beige head. Intense sweetish aroma of malt sugar, molasses, bourbon, vanilla and oak. The flavour is medium sweet, not as intensely sweet as I feared. Notes of oak, molasses, bourbon and vanilla again. Moderate hops. A decent dessert beer - well rounded, like Mr. Papsø himself .

Draught@EBF2008. Slightly hazy rubyish brown colour with mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is dark fruits, licorice, roasted malts as well as some slight notes of barrel aging (vanilla, oak, bourbon). Flavour is the same in a quite pleasant balance. At EBF I decided to rate this as #6000, since señor Papsoe is a very nice trader and also a really good guy in person. This one goes out to you Henrik! Cheers .)

Bottle courtesy of papsoe. Pours brown with a stubborn white head. Smells of caramel, dark fruit, light spice, earthy. Tastes of rich caramel, tarte fruit, spice, pepper, light booziness, some dryness on the finish. Full bodied, velvety mouthfeel.
