Bottle from the brewery, bottled on 02/07/18. Now with cold-brewed coffee from Speckled Ax. Slightly unfiltered (getting hazy in the last pours), golden-orange colour with a light beige frothy head, decent retention and lots of thick creamy lacing. The smell of coffee is nicely blended with the warmth of the alcohol, caramel malts and bourbon notes. The taste has less coffee, but the alcohol warms up with the bourbon showing more. Not as sweet on the tongue, which makes this one a nice warming winter Tripel - which is just what I need today. Well done !

Pours slightly hazy golden with a fine-bubbled ivory head. Aroma is not strong, but promises with fruity and subtle hoppy-hay notes. Bold flavor has fruity, bourbon and coffee tones with a malty under-note. Sharp mouthfeel delights with firm body and robust fizz. Jimmy Bean - James Bean!
