Cask. Very deep brown, close to black, colour, with a small beigeish-brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some ashes, mild vanilla as well as wooden notes. Flavour is ashes, liquorice, roasted malts, some vanilla as well as mild dark berries and bitterness in the finish. Very pleasant porter for being only 4.4 % abv!

Cask conditioned at the 32nd Cambridge Beer Festival, gravity dispense. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Moderate but pleasant roast aroma, notes of dark chocolate, dried fruits and tobacco. Moderate roast flavour, notes of coffee and dried fruits. Medium dry (or medium sweet, if you like).
