Pours clear, attractive coppery amber with a thick, if not persistent, buff head. Growler sample I got fizzed like crazy when I opened it, so be on the qui vive. Aroma is not strong, but fruity and hoppy notes are promising. Flavor is better, though, malty and hoppy with some fruity tones. Texture has average fizz and good firmness. Glad that Abita wrought this one.

Clear yellow with big white lacing, lasting foam head. Decent bitter aroma, nice bitter taste and aftertaste. Just love IPA and thanks to Kroger for allowing me buying one bottle for tasting. (Houston 201505)

Had this one on 3/26/15 An amber colored beer with a big frothy textured cream-white colored head rising above. There's great hang time on the head. A low lying thick film and well formed ringlet are left. A: Hazy golden yellow with a big, foamy head. Bright notes of orange peel and grapefruit, sharp citric hops and some earthy grassiness. In the tasting follows a hoppy, bitter, and mild sweetness. Nice balance of fruit sweetness makes this an easy drink. smooth and creamy body

One of the better Abitas that I’ve had. Some malt in this one, yet balanced with good amount of hops. Mosaic gives it a nice touch. A copper/gold to light orange appearance. Not quite in the category of Torpedo, Jai Alai, etc., but somewhere in the tier below.
