April 12, 2012
LCBO #217 (Toronto, Ontario, Canada – Queen’s Quay)
500ml bottle
4.7% ABV
$2.40
The beer poured a translucent pale gold colour with a thin bubbly white head. Aroma was grainy malt, and hops. Mouthfeel was light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour was very grainy, slightly sweet, with metallic tastes and a bitter finish.

Purchased at Liquor Control Board of Ontario store. It’s a clear gold colour with a white head. There are notes of biscuit malts, and earthy hops, and a little bit of spice. The flavour is quite bitter with acidic and metallic malty notes. Easily avoided.

Second Estonian beer for me (Saku Originaal being the first one) and both came in a 500ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a yellow colour (light golden) with a white head that hand in there and delivers decent dirty lace. The nose is grainy with cereal malt and what seems like corn (but not sure). Notes of dirty hay and citrus eventually come out. Medium-bodied with an almost creamy mouthfeel. Mild grass mixed in with the malt, all-in-all light, kind of different but not overly weird. Drinkable, maybe a touch better than the Saku Originaal.

This is average lager beer from Tartu. They have specific taste in avery beer. I can't actually describe it, but it just feels different, if You compare it to the average European lager or pilsener type of beer. Drinkable, but not really something special.

Pale yellow color, very weak foam with some lacing. Malty sweet aroma, with some hoppy hints. Enough expressed flavor: slightly sweet, malty, nicely stressed hoppy taste - finely bitter. Pleasant slightly bitter aftertaste. Despite first watery and bubbly impressions, it's nice, drinkable and pleasantly bitter (hoppy and yeasty) beer.

Bottled. Clear yellow, foamy mediumsized head, lacing. Strong malty nose with hoppy hints and weak caramellish notes. Weak flavour of vegetables and malt. Hoppy finish. Hayish vegetably aftertaste.

Pours color of rotten straw, smells similar. Texture on the tongue is bubbly and quite pleasant, somewhat fruity. Very smooth, but the aroma and appearance ruin the entire production.
