Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 6
Rare bottle courtesy of theisti. Pour was dark brown in color, substantial tannish colored head after a firm pop of the cork from the bottle. Aroma was quite off, some sort of a chemical over top of chocolate. The flavor, though, was better than the aroma, chocolate, fruits (cherry-ish?), saw dusty oak, bourbon or whiskey even, vinous, citrus, some roast. The finish was a bit astringent and acidic, lively mouthfeel. Odd, intersting, but not a great one. Thanks, Tim, for the opportunity at this one!
