512 Pecan Porter is made with U.S. 2 row and Crystal malts, along with Baird's chocolate and Black malts. Mild smooth hop bitterness dances with sharp black malt bitterness. Its full body and malty sweetness are balanced with subtle pecan aroma and flavor from locally grown pecans.

The beer pours a solid black color with a thin creamy brown head. The aroma is pecan pie with hints of coffee and chocolate. Full mouthfeel. Taste is rich with nutty malt, dark chocolate, and coffee. Taste is not as sweet as the aroma.

Found at Ginger Man in Dallas, a not too bad porter. A tad on the roasty side with quite a bit of dryness to it, but plenty of flavor in the way of chocolate, coffee and pecans. I would definitely try it again.

This beer tastes like pecan shells. It is gritty with a lifeless pour and flat black appearance. Smells of grain. Full mouthfeel. Not a bad beer but not a good one either.

Tried this one on tap at Opal Devines- Penn Field location. Decent looking black body, head was thin but left decent lace. Aroma of mostly choclate, with hints of coffee and pecans. Flavor was similar to the aroma, however no flavors were really dominant, they were all kinda on the light side. Mouthfeel was decent and the alcohol aftertaste gave it a slight warming feel after finishing. Overall it was a decent porter.
