Beer Description:
Long ago, the south-eastern shores of Lake Muskoka were known as Sawdust City. Inspired by the treatise, Gravenhurst; Or Thoughts on Good & Evil a postal official declared Sawdust City and its surrounding area be known as Gravenhurst.

Honouring the origin of the naming of our hometown, we have brewed a beer that speaks to the juxtaposing ideals of good & evil. Brewed to have an easy-drinking, dry, light body with an abundance of juicy Amarillo hops, this ales dark, almost black appearance belies its hidden 8.0% ABV. Is it good or is it evil? Or is it a dangerous combination of the two? You’ll have to drink it to find out!

“Now it has risen above the massive and lofty tree, and throws its pleasant shadow down upon the earth.” – William Smith, Gravenhurst: Or Thoughts on Good and Evil
