Dec. 2018: 16.9 fl.oz. bottle, from Vinmonopolet. Bottled November 2015. ABV is 5.9%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of acid, stale lemons and brettanomyces. Fizzy mouthfeel, The medium sour flavour has notes of lemons, funk, vinegar and brettanomyces. Better flavour when more of the yeast is poured in. Not something I'd buy again, though.

Feb. 2015: 355 ml bottle, as Smuttynose Finestkind IPA, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Nice hoppy aroma, notes of oranges. Pleasant hoppy flavour throughout, notes of orange peel and pine, well balanced.

Dec. 2016: 355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 9.6%. Reddish brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma of malts, oak, dark dried fruits, caramel, vinous notes. The medium sweet flavour has the same elements as the aroma. Slightly warming mouthfeel. Good stuff.

March 2018: 355 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. Black colour, large tan head. Aroma of roast malts, coffee, prunes, raisins and chocolate. Soft mouthfeel. Medium sweet flavour, with the same elements as the aroma. Fairly low bitterness. Enjoyable.

375 ml corked & caged bottle, at Cardinal, Stavanger. ABV is 8.5%. Hazy yellow colour, minimal white head. Aroma and flavour of white wine vinegar, oak, lactic acid, mango, tangerine and guava, quite sour.

500 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6%. Crystal clear pale golden colour, large to moderate white head. Sweetish aroma of pilsener malts, alcohol and grassy hops. The flavour is not as sweet and alcoholic as I feared, more "neutral" with a herbal bitterness in the finish.

Citric flavour, also notes of yellow stonefruits and tropical fruits, some piney notes in the finish, the bitterness is moderate to low.

375 ml clear and corked slimline bottle, vintage 2018, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken, as usual at an outrageous price. ABV is 9.5%. Beautiful cognac colour, no carbonation. Pleasant aroma of concentrated apple juice and oak. Sweet flavour, concentrated apple juice / cider and oak again, delicious.

Medium sweet flavour with the same elements, also a distinct grapefruity and piney bitterness in the finish.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.1%. Slightly hazy deep golden to orange colour, small white head. Strong sweetish aroma of kandij sugar syrup, Belgian ale yeast, caramel and dark dried fruits, hints of spices. The flavour is distinctly spicy, and not as sweet as I feared. Notes of cinnamon, chamomile, nutmeg, cardamom and coriander seeds. Herbal hops in the finish. Unusual, and quite good.

Strong and pleasant aroma of tropical fruits, particularly mango and pineapple, also hints of citrus and sprucetips. Decent mouthfeel for its ABV. Flavour like the aroma, also noticeable bittering hops.

Aroma of malts, brown bread, chocolate, caramel, burnt breadcrumbs, also herbal hops. The flavour has the same elements, not too sweet. More distinct hop bitterness than in most dunkels.

March 2017: Cask half pint at McGinty’s, Aberdeen. 4.2% ABV. Golden colour, white head. Malty / toffee aroma. Smooth malty flavour, not as fruity as McGinty’s Ale. The hops are too moderate.

Cask half pint, as Inveralmond McGinty’s Ale, at McGinty’s, Aberdeen. Toffee aroma. Nice flavour with fruity hops, on a moderate malty background with toffee notes. Decent bittering hops in the finish. Earlier Rating: 3/29/2017 Total Score: 3.2 Cask pint at The Stag, Aberdeen, as Inveralmond Stag / The Stag’s Ale. 4.2% ABV. Golden colour, white head, nice lacing. Malty aroma, toffee notes. Malty flavour too, hints of malt vinegar, but not sour. A slight fruitiness makes the beer quite drinkable.

Aroma of roast malts, chocolate and some caramel. Roast malts in the flavour, not too sweet, notes of dark chocolate, sharpish bittering hops in the aftertaste.

Rich mouthfeel for its ABV. Citric flavour, moderately sweet, also notes of tropical fruits and yellow stonefruits, with a decent grapefruity and piney bitterness.

Citric and fairly rich mouthfeel. The medium sweet flavour has notes of citrus and tropical fruits, with a distinct hop bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Good beer.
