Aroma is rich, malty with some hop hints and a touch of molasses, also a little smokiness, almost like a stout or porter. Color is deep opaque sable. Flavor is malty with a sweet undertone and a little smokiness, but more like a dark ale than a stout, and a hint of hop bitterness. Very smooth and satisfying.

This ale is a beautiful coppery amber, generates a decent head. Aroma is strong and malty with a nice nip to it and a hint of spice. Flavor is rich and malty, with spicy sub-tones and just a whisper of molasses. It goes down very smoothly and pleasantly. There is no thinness in the taste or texture - this is a rich winter ale. Besides, you have to love the name!

One of the best brews that 5 Seasons has ever produced, if not their all-time best! It pours a rich, opaque sable with a thick, light tan head. Aroma is malty with a smoky undertone and a hint of coffee. Flavor is rich with undertone of burnt coffee, a peaty hint, and a touch of fruity sweetness. This porter is smooth and scrumptuous. I heartily recommend it to all my fellow stout and porter lovers.
