    C'est What? (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)
    June 15, 2012
The beer poured a hazed dark gold with a 1" foamy light tan head. The aroma was strong citrus hops (I could smell them while the beer was 3 feet away from me), some grains (although not very rye like), and some spices. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is heavy on the grapefruit flavours with a nice malt balance, and some zestiness. I can see why this is being hailed as one of the best IPAs in Ontario.

I tried this beer on draught on June 22, 2012 at "C'est What" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a very translucent gold colour with a thin snow white head. The aroma was grainy malt, cereal, and some weak floral hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was grainy malt, cereal, with a weak bitter finish. Not a huge fan of Kolschs

Part of the 2012 Tree Brewing feature at the LCBO. The beer pours a coca-cola black colour with a half inch tan coloured head. The aroma is roasted malt, weak citrusy hops, and coffee. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is roasted coffee grains, decent citrusy hops, although no strong grapefruit presence. Still, an excellent beer

I tried this beer on draught on June 8, 2012 at "C'est What" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a slightly hazed medium gold with a thin creamy cap that laced well. The aroma was grainy malt, grapefruity hops, and some mango/pineapple notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is very citrusy with the grapefruit hops up front, and the tropical fruit tones less pronounced, but still there.

The beer poured a solid dark brown colour with a creamy tan coloured head. The aroma was roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with mild carbonation. The flavour was chocolate, roast, and coffee and was very smooth. A very enjoyable beer.

The first Phillips beer available for sale in Ontario and part of the 2012 LCBO Summer Feature. I tried this beer on June 2, 2012 after purchasing from the King/Spadina LCBO outlet in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent gold colour with a 1" off-white cap. The aroma was grainy malt and ginger. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was very gingery, reminiscent of a ginger snap, and peppery. There was some grainy malt in there as well, and not a lot of bitterness.

The beer poured a translucent scarlet red with a generous tan coloured head. The aroma was sweet malt, alcohol, weak fruits, and floral hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was caramel malt, some fruit (cherry?), a little graininess, and a bitter finish.

I tried this beer on June 2, 2012 after purchasing bfrom the Queen's Quay LCBO outlet in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a beautiful ruby red colour with a thin tan head. The aroma was weak, but what aroma ther was consisted of raspberry, grainy malt, and floral hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is raspberry, acidic notes, and weak yeasty notes. The worst Tree beer I've had to date.

The beer poured a translucent amber colour with a tan coloured head that lasts. The maple can be smelled across the room from the glass while a direct whiff reveals bread and smoked wood. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was dominated by the smokiness with maple and malt in the mix. Far from outstanding.

I tried this beer on tap on June 1, 2012 at "C'est What" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent copper colour with a thin foamy medium brown head that lasted. Certainly far from the white head mentioned on the website. The aroma was sweet malt, caramel, vanilla and some floral hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was sweet malt, caramel, molasses, some yeasty notes, and a bitter finish. I enjoyed all but the aftertaste.
