Part of the Founders feature at the LCBO (Backwoods Bastard, Breakfast Stout, Dirty Bastard, Pale Ale, Porter). The beer pours a coca-cola colour with a thin ring for a head. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee, and dark fruit. The mouthfeel is full bodied and creamy with average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt and coffee. Not a lot of chocolate in the aroma or flavour. Very disappointed as the beer is solid but not as complex as I was expecting.

From "The Best of Beau's 2013" 4-pack at the LCBO. The beer pours a hazed dark copper colour with a half inch whitish head that shrinks to a film. The aroma is burnt caramel, weak yeast, and slight funk. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is on the bland side as nothing stands out. Some yeastiness with dark fruits and burnt caramel.

The first new beer of 2014. It pours a translucent light golden brown colour with a thin white head. Aroma is grass, weak citrus, and herbs. Nothing very prominent. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is very malty, some salty notes and ends with a nice hop bite.

The beer pours a very dark brown with black edges and a creamy brown coloured cap. The aroma is coffee, citrus, and roasted malt. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is weak grapefruit, coffee, and dark chocolate. Quite good in my opinion.

The beer pours a translucent copper colour with a generous light tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is weak citrus, light toffee, and grains. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is nicely balanced between some grapefruit and caramel notes. This would be a decent session beer

The beer pours a translucent dark amber colour with a half inch creamy tan coloured head. The aroma is caramel, sugar, yeast, and a hint of hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, slightly creamy, with average carbonation. The flavour is sweet caramel with hints of yeast and earthy hops. Quite good considering who the brewer is.
