13 days from bottling so it should be fresh. It pours a hazed golden-brown colour with very little head, yet a white ring forms against the edge of the chalice. The aroma is faint maple, yeast, caramel, and some nutty character. The flavour is slightly sour malt, yeasty, and a maple sugar burnt note in the finish. One of their worst efforts to date.

The beer pours a translucent dark copper colour with a thin tan coloured head that laced quite well. The aroma was caramel, nuts, and earthy hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was caramel, and peppery spiciness with some weak hoppish flavour.

The beer pours a translucent copper-gold colour with a thin head. The aroma is bready malts and not much else. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour has a slight sweet malty tinge to it, and some grains. Not a keeper.

The beer poured a solid black colour with a 1" creamy light brown head. The aroma was very weak and the dark chocolate shines through more than anything. The mouthful was full bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was quite complex with notes of milk chocolate and vanilla combined with roasted malts and coffee. Very enjoyable.

The beer poured a hazed golden orange colour with absolutely no head, but effervescence created a small ring higging the glass. Aroma is weak spices, citrus, caramel and grains. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with mild carbonation. Flavour is piney, citrusy, and grainy. A good beer, but I was hoping for more

The beer poured a translucent light copper colour with plenty of effervescence but no head. Aroma was grains, some caramel, and some acidic notes. Mouthfeel was medium bodied with mild carbonation. Flavour is slightly sweet malt with some caramel and fruit notes. Not a lot of hop character in either the nose or the palate. Quite disappointing for a doppelbock.

Part of the 2013 Mill Street Spring Sampler Pack. The beer pours a translucent dark copper colour with a thin tan ring for a head. Aroma is nut malt and caramel. No maple in the nose whatsoever. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour is nut malt with some roasted coffee hints, and a touch of caramel and weak hops. More enjoyable than the Spring Imp, but still an average drinkable beer.

The beer poured a hazed golden yellow with a generous white head. Aroma of grainy malt, pine, and weak citrus. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavour contains tropical fruit notes, and sour citric notes. Average at best.

The beer poured a dark translucent ruby colour with a very thin head and some floaties. Aroma alcohol, raisins, caramel, and molasses. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with ample carbonation. Flavour is sweet with the alcohol leaving a trail down to the stomach. Caramel, raisins, and molasses dominated the flavour but I felt I could detect some candy sugar in the mix. A very good beer, and definitely a sipper!

This was part of the 2013 LCBO Spring release, but this would have been great as a winter warmer.
