Just wondering why this is listed as a spiced ale and not a wit... It is spiced, but with the traditional orange peel and coriander. Seems like a prototypical wit. Not sure what the difference is between this and their white, but they seem to like to tinker with the style quite a bit...
The SA site does say abmiguously, "A blend of exotic fruits & spices including orange peel, plum, hibiscus & fresh ground coriander." So it could be a spiced ale depending on the other spices. But, I tend to agree it is best classified as a wit - just not enough to change styles. Then again, I haven't had it yet myself.

Weird. Plum is on the label/beer description, but hibiscus is not. I haven't tried it yet so I had no idear. Guess it fits in either but spiced ale to me is a more generic category for beers that don't fit so well in others. You kids decide what's best. I'll probably try it tonight. Cheers.

Lmk what ya think after consuming. It could change to wit then. Seems more appropriate.

I guess it has changed to witbier now, but it a nice twist on a regular witbier. I quite like this brew. Refreshing, and with notes of Popeye cigarette. Sweet, to remind us of our youth.
