Now on draft.... tapped, baby!
It may not make it to New Year's Eve, haha. SN Celebration Ale and Flying Dog Kujo will also be on tap for that event.
Man, this is just a great great beer. Didn't see a keg of Karmeliet's Tripel. I'd bet it would be a nice one on draft too.

Nice. Don't know that I've ever had a Chimay on tap. Karmeliet IS the best of that category, as far as what I've had...

My favorite Chimay. On tap is the best, then the 750ml bottle. The 330ml bottle always tastes just a little different. Lucky.

Completely agree with all that. I think this is the first BIG (and sweet) early Belgian beers I had where I could taste the hops.... well before the Belgian IPA craze.....

Same here, favorite Chimay for me. Just pulled an old bottle from my beer cellar (best before end of 2008) and thought I would review this here. Get much darker (golden-amber), but the head is still totally fine with great retention. Aromas of dark fruits (figs, plums, raisins) with caramel malt and light wood. The wood can be tasted as well with the other smells in the background. Lots of floaties, but this beer is still drinkable, almost 5 years after it's best before date. Thank God, as I have a bunch left in the cellar.
