I don't even own most of that equipment, much less tried it. This is convoluted and I should explain what I'm talking about first. You know how store fronts in the city (any city) have those protective metal grates that they pull down at night? You know the metal piece attached to the building that acts as an anchor for a padlock in order to lock the grate down? Yeah, that thing, whatever it is called....I opened many a beer bottle on those in Greenwich Village during my late teens.

Tried just a few of those, never considered animal parts or power tools though. I have a bottle opener on my key chain, so no need for anything that extreme or wasteful. There are some videos out there that show you how to open beers with dollar bills, i thought that was kinda cool.

My standard bottle opener, when not at home seems to be friends cigarette lighters. I know, nothing extreme but....I don't know why I don't carry a little bottle opener on my keys..

Forgot to pack a bottle opener and didn't bring a lighter either so I had to use the handle on a small ice scraper I found in my rental car all week while enjoying the bottled beers I picked up in my hotel room the past few nights.....wasn't ideal and took a some coaxing but it worked!

I used to use my teeth, but I'm getting softer (or perhaps smarter) in my old age...

some of those were twist offs and probably open a little easier, but it was still a fun video after i forgot an opener one time, i tried to see how many things i could open a bottle with... belt buckle, seat belt tab, screwdriver, hammer, fence post, butter knife, folded piece of paper, trunk lid, another bottle, lighter, sharpie...too many to list. on a side note, i could flip the bottle cap 15 feet or more when using the screwdriver.

that video, as i watched it- pissed me off for some reason... it was about 5 different methods just stretched out.. but taking the stupidity out of it, an entertaining video before i closed it after 40 seconds... its a regular opener for me, i got shitloads of them or if in a pinch - the cap on the table lip or the lighter pushup...
