A Christmas Carol / Christmas Movies

I've read the book several times and have seen various movie versions, but without a doubt my favorite is the early 80's version with George C. Scott. We watch it once a year, every year as a tradition to remind us about the giving spirit, what we should be thankful for, give to those less fortunate and to realize that there may not be a "next" Christmas, to wish someone a Merry Christmas "this" Christmas. Scrooged is my favorite rendition of A Christmas Carol (You can hardly see them nipples!). The only Christmas movie I like more than that is A Christmas Story (Not a finger!). I can watch that movie repeatedly, and fortunately one of the cable stations usually broadcasts 24 hours of it.

The George C Scott Christmas Carol is a fave. Also: Muppets Christmas Carol Miracle on 34th Street I'm not much of a Chirstmas movie fan. And I've never seen (nor will I ever see so don't even try to convince me otherwise. I've heard it all before. I'm not buying it!) A Christmas Story or that Lampoon whatever movie that people go on about.

Christmas Story Die Hard Christmas Vacation Home Alone ---------- It's a Wonderful Life Scrooged Charlie Brown Christmas Christmas Carol (I like the Scott version too cuz he scared me when I was a kid). The more recent animated version starts reheheally slow but gets going nicely, and is actually truest to the book).
