Admins, what's the call here? This used to be a Irish dry stout, now they are using the same name for an 8.3% imperial stout. Both are valid entries, though I'm guessing the Black pussy Kat Irish stout is "retired". Should I add the current (bottled) beer as black Pussykat (one word on the label) IMPERIAL stout, so there's an obvious difference?

I think what would happen is the original versions would be retitled with an "( to 2011)" appended to it and you would create the new beer with the same name and add "(2012 - )" afterwards. Several examples of this already in the database.

A quick look at their website makes it clear that the current beer is called "Black Pussykat Imperial Stout" I can't find any hints of a previous Pussykat beer that wasn't an Imperial Stout. Where did you get that info from when you added the beer? If there really was a different recipe of this beer at 4.7%, then it would have to have a name other than "Imperial Stout" so they would both be separate entries in the database.

I had the dry stout at their brewery. Got the info off their menu. They were newish then, and din't bottle yet...so at some point they decided they liked the name, but made it for the imperial stout instead. As of now, there is no newly named dry stout, so please leave that one as is (if they brew it again by a different name I'll let ya know) and I'll add the imperial. Thanks.
