Thank You

Website Comments by E

I'd like to send a hearty congrats and thank you to all the beer reviewers on this site. I have noticed a huge difference in the quality of reviews on this site, and I think that it is great! Now lets get rid of the childish stuff because I have already said enough, and I hope everyone understands. Now lets start talking beer!

I don't post much, but sometimes read. I wish there was more talk on beer and hope more people used the Non-Beer forum for non-beer talk.

In Reply To #7 I agree completly lambic. We provide a non-beer forum for just this reason, to keep the casual talk out of the beer talk. People come to this site initially to talk beer, and we shouldn't have to sort through other peoples casual conversations to get to the beer stuff.

In Reply To #8 beer and casual can be mixed... matter of fact, beer is casual. While talking about beer, if a casual comment is thrown in there, the person posting should not have to worry about it getting deleted. Unless it's offensive, then I am totally with you.

In Reply To #5 I lived in SF for 6 months. I can say that living there for 4 months would have been better! Very neat city, but the lack of personal space sucks (I lived in a studio apartment while I was there). Going to the local pub was a great excuse ot get out of the apartment though! Have fun and drink a lot of West coast micros while you're there, Flash! Brett

In Reply To #9 If a beer topic makes you want to post about something else, hop over the the non-beer forum and say "the post about xxx reminded me of" or "Speaking of xxx, who..." It's really rather simple to start a post, and no one has to weed through other stuff to get to the beer chats.

In Reply To #11 Aight. This in itself might be off topic but I'll take my chances. If a state prohibits alcohol by mail, but isn't one of the states that view it as a felony, what can happen to me?

In Reply To #12 You did it! You really did it! You changed the whole topic of the thread! If you'd care to start a thread, I'd be glad to answer as far as my knowledge pertaining to my state relates.

In Reply To #13 PK, cruise over to BeerSwap forum and notice the thread Southern started a couple days ago. Several of us have posted there and I'd be interested in your thoughts, too. Meanwhile, point taken, and we'll all try to stay on topic. Cheerios, Beerios!

I'd also like to add that the Forum posts here at BeerPal are much more friendly than some other large beer sites. Negative commentary abounds at other sites and I really don't see that here (OK - maybe once or twice). But while we are sending out kudos on the good reviews, I'd like to send some out to everyone for not displaying the unfriendly attitudes I see elsewhere.

I just want to say you guys do a great job on this site and I am honored to be a member of this site. I want to thank you for being a beer idol because it gives me something to work towards. I pride myself on how many types and brands of beer I try and I know there is plenty more out there to try. I really get a kick out of trying new beers and it is always interesting because you don't know how the beer will taste. Keep on trying different beers!
