Greatest game of all time?
Non-Beer Discussion by KISSMYBASS
This is a tough one... Any game any sport. If you cant stop at one, keep em coming.I have a couple to get us started that come to mind, and are great in my mind only. The 82' Dolphins/Chargers playoff game with Kellen Winslow, coming off the bench time after time to win it for the Chargers. Booooo! The 92' Duke/Kentucky basketball game in the final 8 where Christian Laettner hits the full court pass, turn around shot to win it at the buzzer. And last but not least, the 91' Twins/Braves game 6 of the World Series where Kirby Puckett catches one off the glass in the 8th to save a possible series winning run, and turns around in the 11th and wins it for the Twins in walk off homerun fashion("Touch em all Kirby Puckett"). Yeeaahh! So lets here your guys choices. Could be great for various reasons. Good Luck! Kissmybass

I was wondering when you or Corona would see that. If your going to come out fighting like Cobra did, don't bother coming to the ring. I'll take you out like a cheap date... The Pats have been on the bottom of my short list when I was born into a healthy Dolphin family back in 61'. And to bring out a snowplow to win, was cheating beyond anything I've ever seen. That would be like getting a leaf blower out to blow the rain off the field for the Dolphins placekicker. Never again...

P.S. Its going to be a long season having to listen to the Dolphin bashing I'm expecting this season in FFB. So... "Go ahead make my Season" I'm bringing it back at ya.

In Reply To #29 When was the last time the Dolphins won the superbowl? Normally you could just come back and ask me when the last time the Red Sox won the World Series, but you're a Cubs fan.

For me the greatest game of all time has to be the Bills-Oilers AFC wildcard game on Jan. 3, 1993. The Bills were down 35-3 early in the 3rd quarter when Jim Kelly was clobbered and taken off the field seeing stars. In came back up quaterback Frank Reich who led the team to 28 points in the rest of that quatrter, 7 more in the fourth quarter and finally 3 in overtime to beat the Oilers 41-38. A close runner up has to be the Dolphin-Chargers game I went to in the early 80's. This was also a playoff game where the two teams kept tying and going into overtime (before the current rules). Eventually the Chargers came out on top.....an amazing game to experience.

In Reply To #32 I remember that game clearly. I think the Oilers started 0-4 that year and went on to win their last 12 regular season games. Those were the days of the run and shoot and Buddy Ryan's 46 defense. Warren Moon, Ernest Givens, Haywood Jeffries, Curtis Duncan, Webster Slaughter and Lorenzo White and Gary Brown running the ball. That was an awesome team. Bring back the run and shoot!

the best sporting event that i have ever scene was not a game but a boxing match arturo gatti and mickey ward part 1 if any of you have any interest in boxing if you can find this fight watch it they went at it 3 times and after the 3rd fight ward retired because of the punishment that they did to each other but the best is the first and they go in order from best to worst 1,2,3

In Reply To #36 I missed that one. Is it still available on ESPN Classic? I still think the KY/Duke game might still beat out your beer pong game if put to a vote. KMA

It wasnt the greatest of all time, but it was certainly satisfying to see my Dolphins beat up on the mighty Patriots on Monday night. How can a team that loses to the Rickyless Dolphins expect to win another Super Bowl? They cant... KMA
