General Beer Discussion by CLINARD

Does anyone know where I can purchase this in the U.S., or online? I am having a very hard time locating some. Thanks.

See the Holiday Beers thread in this same General Beer Discussion. Clash provided a response that contains most of what I would have typed. Cheers!

Leffe Blonde popped up in stores aroun me this summer and I have been hoping and waiting for the Brune to follow. Sad to hear I should stop waiting since it's not offered in bottles. At least the Blonde is a great Belgian beer for the price!

Yep... Leffe Brune. Easily available here in Canada. Their Radieuse was awesome.

Leffe is owned by big bad InBev, so it is not "politically correct" to like their beers [;)] - but I like them anyway! The Blonde did not impress me much though, but the Brune, Triple and Radieuse are good, and Leffe Vieille Cuvée is excellent! Have not had Leffe de Noël (their Christmas brew) nor the Leffe 9 yet - and Leffe Rossa is brewed for the Italian market only.

Had the Leffe Noel in a bar in Calais ( Northern France) last week had never heard of it before - was ok , sort of a cross between Brune and Blonde. The 9 is not a favourite of mine, if i want beer of that strength, there are so many better ones available in Belgium. Have never heard of Rossa - will have to look out for it when I am next in Italy

With InBev's purchase of Budweiser, the circular to shareholders mentioned this as one of the InBev products that would be more readily available in the US. YOu can get it at some of the larger liquor stores here in Ontario (but not in small towns like mine)

And 3.5 years later the Brune has landed. Picked up a sixer, and am pleased.
