Top 5 SNL Performers
Non-Beer Discussion by DANSTING
NBC has some special about "Saturday Night Live" during the '80s on tonight, and I wondered what others thought who the best five regulars were on the show. My top five are (in no particular order): Eddie Murphy Bill Murray Phil Hartman Chris Farley Billy Crystal What about you?

Tom Hanks was an SNL alum? Hmmmm. He was a host several times, don't remember him being a not-ready-for-primetime player. Wife got on to me about some of my choices. I told her there were a few who may have been funnier, but I refused to name anyone who had killed themselves with drugs and HAD to name a woman (you know, the EEOC?)

Tom Hanks was not a cast member. But he hosted at least 5 times. I remember the 5 timers club sketch where they had a special handshake. He was probably one of the best hosts of all time. Along with Christopher Walken and Alec Baldwin. My top 5 is the same as Dansting's, but sub Ferrell in for Crystal: Murphy Murray Farley Hartman Ferrell One guy in the current cast that I am really starting to like is Will Forte.
