Finally broke this one out. Thought I'd bring something special over to the folks' house for Christmas. Little did I know Dansting (my brother-in-law) brought over 2 more! Had a nice mahogany color. Sour, slightly floral aroma, but not overpowering. Flavor was too sour for me particularly straight out of the bottle. After it mellowed a bit, I could take it, but I could never get over the sourness. I take this to indicate that the style is not one that I should probably pursue in the future, as La Folie is one of the best Flemish Sours out there.

A nice IPA, not too hoppy (not too much of a hop head here). Had a nice reddish gold color. Not too heady. Flavor of grapefruit and oak. I didn't think an IPA would get this high a score from me.

I was happily surprised with this beer. I don't usually like spiced beers so much, but this may be the best I've had. I guess I'm not surprised to see it as the #3 spiced on this site. Dark brown color, slightly fruity aroma, tan head did not last long. Very drinkable for a spiced.

Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Poured a swill-like color. Flavor was spicy hot, but some sips were hotter than others. I got used to it after awhile. Wouldn't drink another one willingly but I didn't hate it. And I did finish it.

Numero uno, so when I saw it in the store I had to pick it up. Pour was loud...the head bubbled quite a bit, sounded like I had just poured a soda. Murky dark brownish-black color. Thick almond colored head, starts to dissipate immediately. Mouthfeel was also bubbly, I liked the strong carbonation. Nice complicated, malty flavor, reminded me a little of a Scotch Ale. VERY smooth for such a high ABV. Lived up to its expectations.
