greatest drummers of all time

Non-Beer Discussion by MYKE

well now i guees we've come full circle. i suppose(roll of the eyes) everyone is apt to say neil peart. sure, he's good, but in my opinion the two best are carl brewer from grand funk(just listen to some 69-71 live stuff and you'll know what i mean), and bill ward from black sabbath. the reason i put him in there is the first 6 sabbath albums were recorded with, and the subsequent tours were performed on a 4 piece kit. trust me, that's impressive.

in regards to metal, i'd have to say the best i ever heard and saw was bill andrews from death. the drumming on "leprosy" and "spirtual healing" is fantastic.

Oiz is right. Neal Peart without a doubt is the greatest drummer to ever walk this great earth of ours. Ive seen alot of drummers, and Ive heard alot, any other name on this list would be reaching for some competition, which he has none. KMB

Tomas Haake, drummer for Meshuggah is one crazy-ass kick-nut drumma. Listen to his **** on Contradictions Collapse - 1991. My other influence though is Bill Bruford. Amazing drummer playing jazz now, but was in the great years of King Crimson and Yes.
