Aaauuuggghhhh..Global Warming Does Not Exist!

Non-Beer Discussion by OIZNOP

I realize that I brought this up last year, but for the 3rd year in a row, it appears from the current weather trends that we in the northeast/great lakes are GOING TO BE JIPPED OUT OF YET ANOTHER SUMMER, WEATHER WISE....and I for one am becoming heavlily PISSED OFF ABOUT IT....at the time of this writing,(5/20/05) it's 61 degrees and cloudy.....We should be at least, AT LEAST 10 degrees warmer than this in Pittsburgh.....If we don't soon get some appropriate weather for this time of year soon, I am going to start kicking ****!.......and please, I don't want to hear about how global warming is going to destroy us all!.....that is nothing but a bunch of political puke so the government can run your life!......We haven't had a real summer here in two years, and now it looks like this trend is going to continue......I AM SICK AND TIRED OF COATS, JACKETS SWEATERS, AND BEING COLD AN WET!!!!!!!!........POUR ME A BEER!!!!!...DAMMIT!!!!

That red X is menacing. Must be red from the climate change.

Another recent article on considerations of the potential practical impacts of global warming (and not necessarily linked to whether man is or is not causing the problem.... just adds to the relative import of the phenomena): http://www.foxnews.com/science/2014/03/04/giant-virus-resurrected-after-30000-years/

That is really interesting! I have a passing familiarity with Ancient Greece, and I have always wondered why the "age of Palaces" just disappeared. Troy, Minoan culture, Mycenae, all these magacities just died and a dark age loomed over Greece for several centuries. To see a potential connection between that locale/era and the Indus Valley is stunning. So it wasn't something in the Hellenic culture, but was possibly a far-reaching phenomena! Thanks for filling in that confounding piece of information for me! Now I can't wait to teach the Iliad and the Odyssey next year
