After many years of amateur brewing through their engineering studies in northern France and Belgium, the two brothers, Anthony and Frederick, established their independent brewery home in Normandy, Gisors. With speciality know-how, their first batches were made locally in 2009. In addition to traditional methods, Brasserie De Sutter employs infusion of 100% grain and hops. The selection of yeast develops many fruity aromas in the beer. Further fermentation is continued in barrels and bottles, where the yeast develops sparkling elements that can be sweet with fine bubbles. The products are neither filtered nor pasteurized, and the range of beers gives the lips the flavors that maximize pleasures in the mouth. Seven beers make up the range, where technical differences can be detected in aroma, but due to the yeast used they have a very specific common character too. The beers are different enough from each other and each can be best enjoyed at various times of the day. In January 2012, the brewery expanded to a larger capacity and more controlled facility and location.
