Just as the citizens of Cologne worship their beloved Kölschbier, their rivals from nearby Düsseldorf swear by their traditional Altbier. Perhaps it is somewhat politically incorrect for a company to produce both styles in the one brewery when their disciples are so exclusively dedicated to only one? But we couldn't resist bringing you the best of both beer cultures. Zierholz Amber Ale uses a special selection of malts to create a complex, beautiful amber coloured beer. We add German and Czech hop varieties to balance the sweet caramel and nutty malt flavours with an appetizing spicy dryness. Our extended cold conditioning process develops a rounded flavour profile which makes for a distinctive, full-flavoured, smooth and very more-ish ale.

    An Aussie Altbier
Aroma: The aroma starts off mainly malty, with some hints of spice
Appearance: The beer pours a brownish colour with a fluffy white head
Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with high carbonation
Flavour: The flavour is a combination of malt and toffee. There is a particular bitterness that I dodn't much care for however.
    Overall: A decent beer
