    22oz bottle -

First, I have to admit that I did not drink this entire thing. It just didn't keep me interested enough to consume the whole bottle. But what I did have, wasn't horrible but reminded me of a pretty typical Euro strong lager. Very grainy, corny sweetness, smooth mouthfeel with no complexity and a clean finish...when cold. I imagine it's pretty gnarly when warmed up, so why wait for something bad to happen when you know it's going to happen? The one thing that was pretty bad about this beer...when I poured it into my glass....there was no head. Zero. Zip. Nada. There was carbonation on the palate, but in my glass? Looked like apple juice. Very weird.

This beer looked golden yellow and had a snow white head that vanished instantly. The smell of skunk hits you the second you open up the bottle, it also has a sweet malty sent, wow this stuff smells strong at least the skunk mostly went away after a few minuets. The brew not surprisingly has a bit of a skunky taste combined with lots of grass. The 7% alcohol is very noticeable in this beer, but I don't mind it, it gives the beer taste a slight edge. The after taste is very sweet and bready reminds me of apple turnovers. I got to say this was way better then I thought it would be, served ice cold this beer is drinkable but if you let it get warm the alc. taste get very harsh. I'm probably rating this beer higher then I should due to the fact I just got back from rugby practice and any piss warm yellow liquid would have been great.

First - the summary: Truly horrible I took one look at this bottle of "special export" beer and knew right off the top what i was getting and i was still suprised at how brutal this stuff was. At 7%, what could you expect? Yeti smells like a bottle of virtually any type of 40oz widemouth strong beer and has the same dirty gold colour and the same eyewatering high-octane fumes. Poured into my glass with almost zero head accompanied by a handful of minescule bubbles and an unsavoury odour. The main flavor was alcohol - sign of an extremely low quality beverage. After a couple of swigs, even my 'must finish the beer cause i bought it' pride disapeared, and it disappeared down the drain. One of maybe 5 or 6 beers that i've had to pour out. Positives: 1)Nice shiny holographic label for your bottle collection, 2)Claims to be "brewed from the finest balted barley".

The third and final beer in my whirlwind three-beer tour of a few commercially available Indian beers....

The "real" Yeti is something like the Abominable Snowman of the Himalayan mountains, said to rip men's heads off to make little skull pyramids in his icy cavernous homes high in the glaciers. Ok, ok..., you're right: I did just now make that up -- but it still sounds cool. ;)

Does this beer present itself in such a killer yet slightly appealing way too? Not one bit.

Yeti is the St Ides of India, the Steel Reserve of Sikkim, the Colt .45 of Calcutta, the Olde English 800 of the Old World. It put's the "yuck" in "Yuksom Brewery". Another nice sized bottle of beer that deserves to be emptied via the garbage disposal and not my body.

It's a sad day when Taj Mahal is the "best" of a pitiful flight of three different Indian beers. Now please excuse me while I realign my taste buds with mass amounts of *India* Pale Ale -- play on words intentional.

First, let me say that I bought this beer because it had a Yeti on it, with the word YETI writtin in big letters on top. This was the first clue that it wasn't going to be spectacular. Unfortunately, the time to drink it did come. It poured a pale, amber-golden color with almost no head. The aroma was far afrom appealing. The whole thing hinted of cheap ingredients and alcohol was pretty obvious. At 7%, what could I expect. Very grainy, slightly sickly sweetness, and cheap hop. I'll be happy if this Yeti is never sighted again.
