12 oz bottle. Haven’t tried this beer in over a decade. First tried in 1990 iirc. Looks like a porter with opaque color and brown head. It smells like a lager with crisp noble hops, grainy malts and a blend of caramel and molasses like aroma. Taste just as it smells. Porter like sweet malt flavor but light crisp mouth feel of hops and lighter roasted malts as well as a smooth mild caramel sensation. Really nice and refreshing flavored beer.

Clear dark brown, brown lasing foam head. Nice looks. Light aroma, nice bitter sweet taste. Light caramel tones. OK beer and a nice additions to my Brazil counts. (Velp 201603)

Nice looking beer with great black colour and huge white head. Taste is a bit too weak though with hints to caramel and cookies. Aroma is watery and weak as well. After taste is good and round, but doesn't last very long.

355 ml capped bottle, as a 4,6 % ABV. Poured in a snifter an opaque and dark burgundy-brown coloured Schwarzbier with a short half a finger tan foamy head that had a short retention and tones of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is moderate roasted malts, caramel, chewing-gum (!), fruity notes, pears and dried fruits, nuts. The flavour is roasted malts, dark sugary fruits, plums, prunes, coffee hints. The mouthfeel is prickly, quite thin, sweet and smooth. The texture is watery. This light to medium bodied Schwarzbier has a dry roasted and fruity finish. Quite easy drinkable and well flavoured, an OK Brasilian Schwarzbier.

Pours out extremely black with a very thin brown head. The aroma just for a second smelled like watermelon, then faded into malt and chocolate. The mouthfeel is smooth and solid. The taste is of malt, coffee and with a note of chocolate. Don't know where the watermelon went.

pours a deep dark brown nearly black, with a small head of beige bubbles which vanished almost instantly. No lacing to speak of. The aroma is faint aroma of roasted grains, molasses, and some dark fruits (black cherry). A hint of mustiness. The taste is roasted barley, caramel malt, molasses, brown sugar, black cherry, and plum are forward, with a hint of musty hop bite in the finish. Slight but not unpleasant mineral taste throughout, lending a certain uniqueness. The mouthfeel is a little watery, with truly prickly carbonation.

Bottled (thanks Papsoe!). Blac colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, rubbert and mild notes of fruityness. Flavour is mildly roasted malts, wood and some caramel. Watery and not very strong flavours/aromas. Some underlying sweetish sour grainyness all the way through.

I would say better than expected. Wasn't sure what style this would be most like, but would say Schwarz vs. Black Lager, unless they are the same thing. Appearance is solid, almost black but a super-dark brown. Not mud thick, but just enough to contain the chocolate malts and all the other goodness in there. Decent hop finish. I am noticing a slight fruity taste too, can't quite pinpoint what it is. Aroma is ehh. Smooth mouthfeel. An interesting beer...something I would be into trying again. My first Brazilian brew sample.

I have quite a huge disparity of numbers... It looked great when poured and as it sat in the glass. A roasted malt aroma with a thin head - way thin in the mouth and absolutely hideous flavor. Vile, nasty, disgusting.

Aroma of toffee and coffee, which is slightly earthy smelling. One-finger head that dissipates quickly, leaving nice lacing. Light-bodied mouthfeel, with a sweet, malty and slightly toasted flavor. Hints of bitter coffee and hops in the aftertaste.
