Partition is our latest farmhouse/saison style ale, but since we’re downtown we’ve re-imagined it as a rustic ale from L5P for drinking at the end of a long day of work (if not farming). Bright and quenching, this beer has notes of pepper, citrus, plums and spices on the nose and palate. It finishes with a gentle and subtle tartness, while still maintaining a slick and velvety mouthfeel and an earthy malty character from pilsner, Vienna, wheat, and rye malts. This style beer was traditionally brewed as a quenching but substantial beer for farmers after they’d finished the day’s work. Try one and see if it does the trick for your line of work too.

Pours clear golden, not much head. Weak aroma presents a little malt. Flavor, fortunately, is bolder, delivering crisp, slightly sour fruity and nice malty notes. Body is fair, and fizz is firm. Get rustic in the urban.
