Saison is a farmhouse style ale originating in Wallonia, the French speaking portion of Belgium. Our version is brewed with rose hips, orange peel, and black peppercorns; and fermented at a high temperature using a French saison yeast. This is a big and assertive saison with loads of fruit and yeast character. Big alcohol is hidden by floral and citrus notes, with a dry crisp finish in true saison fashion.

Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9
Pours a hazy amber with a thin eggshell head. Aroma has firm fruity notes, pear and banana and Mandarin orange; malty and yeasty notes make themselves known as well. Flavor is mostly fruity, again with Mandarin orange plus pear and banana and a it of apple and cherry, plus sweet malt and a noticeable, if not ferocious, alcohol bite. Fit for an Emperor and a General.
