Brewed true to style with dark German wheat and Munich malts, this darker wheat style is a little more full-bodied than a hefeweizen. Just a touch of German hops for balance and no bitterness, and the yeast imparts some clove and banana characters. Prosit!

Comes out of the tap an opaque dark honey brown with a fine-bubbled light tan head that leaves very generous lacing. Robust, wheaty aroma has a strong overtone of banana with touches of pear and apple. Flavor has hearty wheat and banana tones, a touch of honey-like sweetness. Firm, lively texture leaves a nice tingly, wheaty, banana finish. Don’t cry uncle, cry Onkel! ;)
