A beautiful deep brown hue and a nutty sweetness identify this style of ale from Northern England. Although malt and caramel flavor dominate, English hops provide a medium level of bitterness at the finish.

From tap at Downtown Grill and Brewery in Knoxville. A nice amber coloring with a good head and lacing. Sweet malty aroma with hints of nuts and some raisin and caramel. Medium carbonation. Sweet, malty, slightly nutty and raisin taste that finishes with good maltiness and slight hops.
