Like the hound of Hades, Cerberus is a fierce, three-headed beast that attacks the palette with a fierce blend of hops. Cerberus is a seasonal I.P.A. with a warm presence featuring heavy notes of citrus and tropical fruits alongside underlying hints of pine and star anise. Cerberus is a beer lover’s beer: unfiltered, unpasteurized, naturally carbonated and brewed with locally-grown and malted barley.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 5 | Overall: 5

Bomber from Value-On. Clear copper pour, with a large head of rocky beige fluff. Aroma was heavy on the malt, to the exclusion of all else. Average mouth. Flavour lacked the expected DIPA citrus and pine, malt-forward for the most part. Finish lacked bitterness despite the claimed 80 IBU's. Drinkable, but I'd not call this a DIPA or IPA even, mote a strong ale. Needs considerable work. I notice that Wolf Brewing operates out of the defunct Fat Cat location; wonder if they use any of Fat Cat's recipes? Sadly, this beer suggests that this could be the case. And, insulting to price this at $9.20...
