Pours pitch black with a thin tan head. Aroma is intense roasted malt, espresso, caramel, chocolate, smoke, and some subtle mintyness. Flavor is sweet up front, chocolate, toffee, and wonderful smoky espresso, then dries out and becomes very roasty like burnt chocolate. Finishes smoothly with some mint-like flavors amidst a mountain of roasted flavors. Could use a little more body IMO, but overall a stellar beer.
