What could possibly be better than the combination of deep roasted malts, coffee, oak, and a smooth, creamy finish? Ode To Mercy overflows with bold flavors woven into a very balanced and approachable beer that finishes with creamy lingering hints of oak, coffee (specially blended by Athens, GA’s 1000 Faces), and roasted goodness. Bright citrus hops peek through from time to time, adding additional layers of complexity.

Another from d3atlanta: Clear brown pour, tight off white head with nice lacing throughout. Sweet malty aroma, a touch of crisp fruits - apples and pears - roasted malts, a very slight hint of java, earthy hoppiness. taste is more of toasted and sweet malts, nice earthy bitter linger, touch of fruits, some java and nuts. A damn fine beer - thanks Sam.

Comes out of the tap a clear dark mahogany with a fine-bubbled pale tan head and fairly thick lacing. Spicy, malty aroma has hints of hops. Malty flavor has hints of spice and sweetness and a strong sour raspberry tone, rather like cough syrup but not unpleasant. Thick, heavy, fizzy texture leaves a syrupy and tingly finish.
