Dionysus Cuvée is a barrel-aged wild ale based on our Eschaton quadrupel, blended with five additional unique barrel-aged wild ales. Oak and wine notes combine with a mild tartness and the underlying sweetness from the quad base to create a delicate yet big-flavored beer.

Beware, this is a fizzmeister. The first bottle I bought exploded - I briefly blamed my cats for the calamity - but I got a free replacement after learning that there were several other instances of exploding bottles. The "new" bottle fizzed from here to the next county over, and fizzed over at seemingly the least provocation. When I finally got some, it poured a somewhat hazy mahogany with a very thick and frothy tan head. Strong, tart fruity aroma has notes of bourbon-soaked wood and caramel, plus a snip of honey sweetness. Bold flavor blends sour fruit, honey, bourbon, wine, woody, and shy caramel tones. Worth an extra drive for a fresh bottle! Smooth, firm mouthfeel has some fizz (most bled off while I was carefully opening the bottle), and leaves a woody and fruity finish. Get wild, get Dionysus!
