Our first Valentine’s Day Beer, V is 6.5% abv and fermented with 130 lbs of raspberry and cacao nibs roasted by the French Broad Chocolate Lounge. It is truly a beer for the romantic with interwoven aromas of raspberry and chocolate. With a crisp and dry finish, this fruit forward beer is not overly sweet. Perfect for a dessert pairing.

Pours dark brown with a fine-bubbled buff head. Aroma is fruity with a malt undertone. Flavor is seriously raspberry, not much else. Texture is thin for a beer and not very fizzy. Still, I love raspberry, so it’s passable.
