Inspired by the similarly named cocktail, Old Fashioned Ale embodies all that is found in this staple drink. A strong malt bill rounds out characteristics of heavy bourbon and sweet cherries. This warming ale's sweetness is finished off with notes of bitter orange rind. Based on one of the oldest and most comforting cocktail recipes, Bourbon Barrel Aged Old Fashion has made an appearance at the pub and you can look forward to having it in bottles in 2016.

Pours translucent mahogany with a fairly thick light tan head. Aroma delivers strong bourbon, orange, woody, and subtle dark fruit and malt notes. Flavor ups the cherry component, while orange recedes to the background; bourbon and wood are still strong, and a bit of toasted malt peeks through. Mouthfeel features good body, lively fizz, and a cherry and bourbon finish. Beer this good is never out of fashion.
