Stout is kayaker lingo for what most folk would call “really darned good.” Midnight is a “stout” time to go for a paddle. Our midnight stout captures the essence of a moonlit paddle with its rich, dark taste balanced with a hoppy bitterness and oatmeal body that furthers the intensity of this bold beer.

The beer appears a little on the light side for a stout. More of a dark brown than a black and the head is more of an off-white colour than a tan. The aroma is typical with roasted malt and cocoa with some underlying coffee hints. Flavour leans towards the bitter end of the spectrum. A decent tasting stout that could use some work on its’ appearance

On cask at the Arrow & the Loon. Pours a dark brown colour with a bubbly head and some light soapy lacing. Aromas of roasted malts with chocolate notes and some coffee and even nuts. Roasted malt taste that are milder, watery, but fruity. After having some food, maple hints came out. Wet, silky mouthfeel. This is a pretty nice easy-drinking stout.

Pours very little head and has a dark brown appearance. Has aromas of light roasted malts and some notes of vanilla. Flavours of chocolate, oats, bready malts, caramel and dark roasted malts as well. Somewhat of a milky taste in the finish, more like a milk stout. Has a bit of the hop bitterness in the mouthfeel. Average retention. Lively carbonation. Pretty good and easy to drink stout, light abv.
