A really nice example of an English cider, that really showcases the apple. Musty apple aroma, with a fresh sweet apple juice flavor. One dimensional but then, it's a cider so it should be all about the apple. Worth trying if you happen to cross paths with it. -

Best before date is printed on cap: APR 08. Pours a light golden colour with lots of tiny bubble carbonation. Like most cider, tiny bubbly head that does not stay long. Smell a bit more malty than most commercial ciders I have had. A small white coating is over the brew, and remains there. True apple juice is the biggest of the aromas. Not a dry cider, as mouthfeel is more wet. Apples are in the taste, but not too sweet, and with some mild sourness in the finish. Pretty decent overall, but there is a slight weirdness in the taste that just does not cut it.

Its hard to really describe the appearance of cider, as it all looks the same: some varying degree of gold (deep in this case), headless and laceless. The aroma is of apples (of course, although somewhat restrained). That being said, this cider wasnt as dry as some others and had a pleasant crisp mouthfeel. The flavour was very good, nice apple taste with some hints of spices in it, and the alcohol comes through just enough to make it tasty. I really liked this one and will be looking for it again.

Bottle. Clear golden colour. Musty aroma only vaguely apple-like. More apple in the taste. A bit of a one dimensional feel to it, but still quite pleasant and drinkable.
