The beer pours a clear yellow-gold with a thin white head. The aroma is very grainy and not appealing at all. The mouthfeel is medium bodied. The flavour is a combination of malt and grain.

Pours clear gold with thin bright white head. It as a very light aroma carrying floral hops, some earthiness and a bit of sweet malts. The taste is crisp and clean with a nice floral to earthy hop bitterness followed by a mild maltiness. A hop forward brew that ends mildly earthy a little dry.

Can. Colour – straw gold, clear, white cap, frothy and long lasting. Aroma – bready malt, yeast, floral hops, weak citrus. Mouthfeel – light to medium bodied, crisp, medium carbonation. Flavour – typical German pilsner, grainy and slightly hoppy.

When I was younger (the 1970s), there was nothing better than a good german pils. Partly because it was better than Molson, Labatts, and Carling O’Keefe and partly because we didn’t know any better. Every once in a while I like to revisit the classic Pils such as Bitburger, Wernesgruner, etc. A nice clear golden pour with a frothy white head, just as you would expect from a German beer. Very grainy aroma and a nicely balanced flavour with the malt backed by some bitter hops. Always good, but no longer the world beaters they used to be.

Pours a small bright white head, body is a translucent light gold, and leaves very light webbed lacing. The aroma is light breadiness, lightly roasted grains, light corn, and very slight grassiness. The taste is much like the aroma, there is light roasted malt, some soaked grains and corn, a nice bitter crust flavor, some prominent minerals, and grassy hops into the finish. The mouthfeel is on lighter side of medium, medium carb is smooth and provides some scrub that accentuates the bitter and grassy hop flavors.

I find this to be some where between some weird sweet Pils and a dry Bohemian Pils but with that atypical gross German Pils taste. It does have a very nice smell to it, and that may just be the best thing about it. Not bad, but the Germans should really stick to their Hefes and Dunkels

Has some flavor...but sort of weak and watered down. Maybe a tad more malt? But, this is the style....something light and good hot-weather or daytime beer. Slightly skunky in aroma. Appearance is pale yellow. Some grassy flavors....maybe a little corn...decent mouthfeel. Also found this at Aldi's, so for $1 a beer had to try. May try again next summer. It's not bad.

Clear golden yellow with lasting frosty white foam head, lacing to glass. Aroma is fresh malty pilsener. Taste is malty, yet bitter enough, little sweet. Short bittersweet aftetaste. A good German beer. (Velp 201210)

Found this at Aldi's. Went in for German Potato Salad, came out with German Beer, one of only 3 varieties of beer at this discount store. I recently found out that they are owned by a German company and big over there, so if you have a hankering for marzipan or spaetzle, to go with your beer go here. Better than bmc, has that old world malt flavor, some mellower hops and a slightly dry finish. Even has a head.

From a can. Poured a body of clear, light gold under a rocky white head. Aroma was corn and grass; not a good start. Flavour was bloody awful - almost a drain pour. Taste was sour, and as for mouthfeel, it catches in the throst on the way down like a cheap rye whisky. Ain't no German purity in this one.
