This hazy IPA is brewed with Norwegian Voss Kveik yeast from Escarpment Labs which imparts bright citrus notes which blend seamlessly with the Citra, Simcoe, and Amarillo hops. And just like the Norwegian proverb that says, “all weather is passing”, this super small-batch IPA won’t be around for long.

Another one from their Vol. Ten Mix 4-pack. Pours a lightly hazed golden-amber colour with a big frothy, kind of creamy slightly warm head, very long lasting, leaving some thin creamy lace. The Kveik yeast shows close to a chemical aromas with bite, but not quite. Nicely balanced with hints of fruitiness. The mouthfeel is dry, but something else seems to give a bigger bite, maybe in the bitterness instead for mouthfeel, which leaves a nice punch, but still somewhat juicy and refreshing. Lots of citrus zest. A nice punchy stronger IPA.

Tall can part of mix pack no.10. Pours a huge frothy off-white head and has a pale golden orangey appearance, slightly excessive carbonation, leaves thick soapy lace. Aromas of floral and herbal hops with some citrus and pine notes, a little bit yeasty. Flavours are mostly citrus rind, orange peel, lots of yeast in the mix, some hints of apricot and tropical fruit in the finish. Mild hop bitterness. Dry mouthfeel, medium body. A little bit slick and creamy as well. Pretty good overall.
