Has defining flavor notes of licorice, clove and banana. Add to this the tangy sweetness of wheat malt and flowery bitterness.

flavor is ok, but the body is thin, even for the style, which was quite the distraction. overall, it was pretty boring, and too light to really be enjoyed.

Flew to Hawaii today, from San Diego, via Salt Lake City. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense, does it? But hey, it was on my conmpany's dime, I was in First Class, and I can always use extra frequent flyer miles...!
During the layover at SLC, one of the tiny Wastach outfits was literally right next to my departing gate (Gate D6). Popped in for a qiuick beer or two, and something to fill my belly before the flight.
The place only had Bud and Miller Lite, and the Polygamy Porter, and this offering. Having never had this before, I figured I'd give it a go.
Not bad. Not really cloudy enough to give true Hefes a run for their money. Ditto for the lack of any sort of complex head of foam or anything. But this did have some basic banana&clove-ish notes in the nose, at least.
Refreshing, albeit a bit on the basic side of things. No, that has nothing to so with the fact that this "Three-Two Beer" -- I've had plenty of fine Hefe's clock in at 4%ABV and below.
But it does seem to play it a little too "safe". Pump up the esters and the bubblegum/banana/clove-iness in the flavor profile, and then call me up a pint.
But really? Not bad, especially for an airport beer....

Light gold color, slightly hazy, large head. A light bodied hefe-weizen. Mild malts and hops. Slight citrus flavor. Smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
