Alone in his laboratory one stormy night, a madman crossed an imperial stout with pumpkin to create this fine frankenbrew. How good is it? Well, scary good.

12oz bottle pours with nice looking dark body that is almost black that supports a thin light mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up a mix of cinnamon spice and pumpkin notes as well as a fruity esters sort of sensation blended with faint dark roasted malts. The taste starts with a pleasing blend of dark roasted malts, spicy cinnamon, a dash of nutmeg and a pretty tasty pumpkin thing that’s going on. In the background I can’t help but notice a slender fruity ester note that seems to be banging around. To midway and into the finish a nice chocolate sensation joins in and takes this to closure. Solid balanced tasty brew.

12oz bottle picked up at UBC
Pours dark brown with a small tan head, light lacing. Aroma of pumpkin spices, cinnamon, chocolate and bready. Flavors are dark malts, pumpkin spices, grainy, sugar and mild smokiness
Nice, a little less on the spices would make this much better.Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9
One of the better if not the best (toss up between this and St. Arnolds Pumpkinator)Pumpkin stouts out there. Nice aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg and slight hints of alcohol upfront with the roasted coffee and dark chocolate all vying for attention. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with a nice carbontion bite. Flavor is much the same as the aroma with the spices, earthy pumpkin, coffee and chocolate all fading in and out. The finish is long, and dry, with a touch of booze and spices still hanging on. Overall a very nice beer from Wasatch.
