What an excellent beer. Pours a dark red/brown with a thin tan head. Very sweet aroma, maple, roasted malts, caramel. Tastes sweet too but surprisingly little alcohol shows thru considering the strength. Would love to give this one another try.

Reddish brown body with aromas of candy(caramels) and alcohol. A medium bodied lager which tasted fruity, sweet, syrupy smooth at the same time and the alcoholic strength was rather noticeable on the palate.

A bit of a surprise. They got this beer up to 11% with no hint of its strength, other than the fact that kind of sugary sweetness typically hides danger. Touch nutty, good dried fruit and caramel maltiness. Not bad at all.

Poured a reddish mahogany color with a thin, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, roast, some soy (similar, but much more enjoyable than Sam Adams TB), dried fruits, wood, and vanilla. Taste of chocolate and roast, some nuts, vanilla oak, and dark fruits, notably cherries, with just a faint presence of alcohol. A real nice beer, thanks for sharing weeare138!

The color is enough to make you weak in the knees. I have seen this rich malty beer convert even light beer drinkers. It has a pleasant flavor. Quite strong but not overpowering alcohol. It is a relatively expensive beer so you might not be a nightly beer, but it is nice to splurge once in a while. It can be obtained from their website: http://www.wagnervineyards.com/

Pours with a deep red brown body topped by a thin tan head with a good amount of lace. Slightly sweet and fruity malt aroma with alcohol notes, similar to brandy. Slightly sweet malty flavor with notes of maple syrup and alcohol with a touch of fruitiness. Fairly strong slcohol presence. Full bodied, relatively smooth and warming.
