500 ml capped bottle, bought at the brewery. Poured in the original Wagner Stein glass a clear rich golden-amber coloured Rauchbier with a good one finger beige foamy head that had a quite short retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Poor lacing. The aroma is sweety and caramel malts, a mild smokiness and barnyard. The flavour is sweety and caramel malts, cereal, herbal hops and a lingering soft smokiness. The mouthfeel is crispy, prickly, sparkling and a bit oily. This medium bodied Rauchbier has a long smoked and malty finish. Not an aggressive Rauch but a soft and lingering one. I like it.
